Book Coaching
Book coaching involves one-to-one mentoring focused on the aspects of writing that you feel you need help with. Packages consist of a series of sessions over Zoom. These are bespoke packages – the content is tailored to your specific needs.
I currently offer two coaching packages:
The Skills Package – available only to fiction writers.
The Self-Publishing Package – available to writers of fiction and non-fiction.
The Skills Package
Are you struggling to understand certain elements of writing craft? Maybe you’ve had some feedback on your manuscript which has highlighted areas of your novel that need work, but you’re not sure how to tackle them? The Skills Package could be for you.
This is a bespoke service – we can cover big-picture issues (such as plot, story structure or point of view) or line-level issues (such as sentence structure, grammar, punctuation and dialogue). Or we can blend the two.
The sessions aren’t workshops; instead, they offer a combination of one-to-one teaching and mentoring. There will be some explanation from me, but I won’t simply tell you what to do. Instead, through discussion and exploration, I’ll help you understand the options available to you so that you can feel more confident about making decisions which will improve your writing.
The Self-Publishing Package
Do you want to self-publish your book but don’t know where to start? Confused about book sizes, ISBNs, formatting, and cover design? Not sure how print-on-demand publishing works? The Self-Publishing Package could be for you.
I can demystify ISBNs and barcodes, talk you through the publishing options available to you, and help you decide which way to go. I can also help you determine which bits of the process you can do yourself and which you might need professional help with.
As a bespoke service, this package is tailored to your needs. You might just need a couple of sessions to answer your questions, or maybe you’d like to have someone by your side through the whole process.
